Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say (Exodus 4:12 NKJV).

Reflect
How often do we find ourselves speaking without thinking, only to regret our words later? It’s a common human experience. We’ve all had moments where our words have hurt others or failed to reflect our true intentions. Conversely, there are times when we feel the nudge of the Holy Spirit to speak, but we hold back, missing an opportunity to bless someone.

In Exodus 4:12, God assures Moses that He will be with his mouth and teach him what to say. Moses felt inadequate and fearful about speaking, but God’s promise was clear: if Moses obeyed, God would provide the words. This promise extends to us today. When we step out in faith to do God's work, He equips us with what we need, including the right words.

God doesn't call us to tasks and then leave us on our own. His presence and guidance are with us every step of the way. When we rely on Him, our words can become instruments of His love and grace, touching hearts and changing lives.

Respond
This week, let's consciously invite God into our conversations. When faced with challenging situations, let’s pause and seek His guidance before speaking. Think of God's goodness in your life and trust that He will give you the right words to say. Reflect on how you can be a vessel of God’s love and wisdom, not just in church or among fellow believers, but in every aspect of your life. How can you allow God to guide your tongue today?

Request
Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise of Your presence and guidance. I ask for Your wisdom in my words and actions. Help me to pause and seek Your direction before I speak, especially in challenging situations. May my words reflect Your love and grace, bringing blessing and encouragement to those around me. Teach me to trust in Your provision and to be an instrument of Your peace. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
